In Apulia logistics play a key role in economic development, as a result of the region’s strategic location close to the international maritime corridor in the Mediterranean and European road and rail corridors. The Netherlands boasts essential skills, products and services in logistics as well as related infrastructure, qualifying the Netherlands as a valuable partner of Apulia. Dutch transport and logistics companies have also shown interest in the opportunities Apulia has to offer. The mutual interests of Apulia and The Netherlands underscore the unique opportunity the seminar offers to both Apulia and The Netherlands to share 'best practices' and identify opportunities for further cooperation in the field of intermodal transport, logistic infrastructures, agro logistics and supply chain management.
