Inditex is set to build a new distribution hub in Lelystad, that will complement the activity of Inditex Central Logistics Platforms
in Spain. Construction will require an initial investment of approx. €100 million. Inditex will initially purchase a 35-hectare plot
at the Lelystad Airport Businesspark (LAB) currently under development. This plot borders on the airport which, in April 2019,
will begin offering passenger flights as a twin airport to Schiphol.
The construction of its distribution hub in Lelystad will begin as soon as possible and will be built following the best
sustainability practices, with the aim to receive LEED Gold certification for the building. It should be operational by 2019 and
fully operational by 2020. In the first phase, it will create over 400 new jobs, which even might double depending on capacity
development. Lelystad Airport Businesspark is a joint development of the municipality of Lelystad, municipality of Almere and
the province of Flevoland.
